First, you need to locate Yoshi. To do this, go to the west side of Peach's Castle. Here, you will find a scarecrow. Throw Cappy at the scarecrow to create stairs that you can climb to reach the roof of the castle. Alternatively, you can use a scooter to reach the scarecrow and then throw Cappy to activate it. Once the scarecrow is activated, it will create stairs for you to climb up to the roof. On the roof, you will find Yoshi's egg. Hatch the egg and capture Yoshi.
Now that you have Yoshi, it's time to find and eat the fruit blocking the pipe. With Yoshi, drop down to the ground and avoid the water if the moat is still filled. You will find fruit around the edge of the moat and near Goombette. Collect these fruits with Yoshi's tongue. Keep going around the moat to find more fruit. You should eventually obtain Moon 13: Gobbling Fruit with Yoshi. Continue to the east side of the moat and drop down to eat the fruit in the Warp Pipe, but don't go into the pipe yet. This fruit is blocking the pipe and needs to be eaten by Yoshi to unblock it.
Once the fruit is eaten, you can enter the pipe. Inside the pipe, you will find the Lord of Lightning, and the rematch for the final time will commence. The ground is icy, so be prepared for Mario to slide while running. The lightning during this battle is more intense and wavy, making it harder to avoid. After defeating the Lord of Lightning, you will acquire another Multi Moon.

Defeat the Ruined Dragon in the Warp Pipe
To defeat the Ruined Dragon in the Warp Pipe, you must first drain the moat surrounding Peach's Castle in the Mushroom Kingdom. This is done by pulling the posts located around the bottom of the moat. Once the moat is drained, climb to the roof of the castle and capture Yoshi. Use Yoshi to eat the fruit blocking the pipe and enter.
Inside the pipe, you will find a painting of the boss in Crumbleden from the Ruined Kingdom. Jump into the painting and you will be transported to an arena to face the Ruined Dragon. The fight is different from your first encounter with the Ruined Dragon, as the entire arena is now iced over, making it much more difficult to dodge the dragon's attacks. The dragon's tendril-like attacks now wave up and down as they travel, so you must employ a "jump or duck" approach to dodge them.
As you fight the dragon, watch the ground for indications of a purple haze, as this is where the dragon will strike with its lightning breath. Run away from the strike, and be cautious of the curved blades that will roll out in all directions. To avoid these blades, you will need to rely on jumps like side somersaults. Keep jumping rapidly to dodge the blades until the electricity fades from the dragon.
At this point, you can spot several swords embedded in the skull of the Ruined Dragon. Quickly hop on the dragon's head and pull out as many swords as you can to remove the chains guarding its helmet. If you are quick, you can remove the entire helmet in one go and expose a glowing weak point. Ground pound this weak point to deal significant damage to the dragon. However, if you see the dragon start to flicker with electricity, jump off immediately or you will be fried.
After dealing damage, the Ruined Dragon will retaliate with more intense attacks. The dragon will breathe out lightning strikes that explode into rolling blades, so keep your distance and find a safe spot to wait out the attack. The dragon will then slam into the ground, emitting shockwaves of lightning that will ripple and intersect. Find a safe circle within these shockwaves to jump and dodge the attack.
Finally, pull out the remaining swords embedded in the dragon's skull and finish it off with one last ground pound to defeat the Ruined Dragon.

Find the Toad guarding a hole in the wall
To drain the moat in the Mushroom Kingdom, you must first find the Toad guarding a hole in the wall. Here is a step-by-step guide:
- Enter the Mushroom Kingdom through the Secret Path painting in the Luncheon Kingdom. Travel to the Remote Island in the Lava in the far northeast, then descend the natural steps on the right side of the island.
- Use Cappy to extinguish the fire in Yoshi's House chimney. Wall jump your way up to the top and claim the moon above.
- Collect Yoshi by finding his egg on the roof of Peach's Castle. The easiest way is to go to the west side of the castle, where you will find a scarecrow that creates stairs for you to climb.

Head to the roof to collect Yoshi
Now, head to the west side of the castle and find the scarecrow. Throw Cappy at the scarecrow to make it create some stairs that you can climb up to the roof. Alternatively, you can go to the south-west tower of the castle, flutter jump, and then grab the flagpole with Yoshi's tongue to vault to the top.
Once on the roof, you will find Yoshi's egg. Jump on the egg to hatch it and reveal Yoshi. You don't ride Yoshi in this game, but instead capture him like any other enemy/object. To do this, throw Cappy at Yoshi. With Yoshi, you can now collect the fruits around the Mushroom Kingdom. For every 10 fruits Yoshi eats, you will get a Power Moon. There are 30 pieces of fruit in total.
Make sure to get the large fruit blocking the pipe in the moat. You will find another large fruit blocking another pipe at the north end of the stream. There are also three fruits on top of one of the large corner spires, which you can reach by jumping from the central tower.
