Kricketina Kylie is a Bug-type Trainer from Sinnoh who calls herself the "Bug-type Queen of Sinnoh". She had caught all the Bug-type Pokémon found in Sinnoh and was on a journey to catch Bug-type Pokémon from other regions. In her pursuit to catch a Pinsir, she used a batch of her "Kricketina Treats", a stirred mixture, to attract one. The treats were made using Tiny Mushroom powder as one of the ingredients. She attended a Pokémon Trade Event at the Vermilion City Pokémon Center where she met Ash and Goh. Goh agreed to help Kricketina find a Pinsir from Vermilion Forest.
